Our recent stay was a mixed bag, offering a great location but with some significant logistical hurdles upon arrival. While the property itself was clean and tidy, providing fresh towels and bedding, the overall experience was hampered by an inconvenient check-in process and a lack of essential amenities for the advertised capacity. The most frustrating aspect was the key collection, which was not disclosed at the time of booking. We were directed to pick up the keys from a separate location, a 20-minute walk or 6-minute drive away. This unexpected detour was a considerable inconvenience, especially after traveling. For guests with mobility issues, this could pose a real problem and cause unnecessary stress. This vital piece of information should absolutely be included in the property details to ensure guests are fully prepared. Additionally, while the apartment is advertised for 4 people, the kitchen amenities were severely lacking for this number of guests. We found only one wine glass, three pint glasses, three mugs, and two plates. It seems reasonable to expect that a property advertised for four people would provide enough crockery and cutlery to cater for everyone, rather than just two or three. We ended having to take turns in the morning to have tea and coffee!!! Another point to note is the proximity to the tram line. The noise from passing trams was noticeable late into the night and early in the morning, which could be a disturbance for light sleepers. In summary, despite its good location and the cleanliness of the apartment, the undisclosed key collection process and the insufficient kitchen provisions for a four persons were significant drawbacks. Addressing these issues, particularly by clearly stating the key collection procedure and ensuring adequate catering supplies for the advertised guest capacity, would vastly improve the guest experience.
