Rambutan is a family oreiented hotel resort in Phnom Penh, close to all major attractions. The Hotel opened in 2006 as a gay and LGBT friendly resort. We are a married couple, warmly welcomed. There were families and couples. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The service was excellent. I had someone meet me at the airport (after 24 hours of flight, who wants to figure out a cab?) which I set up with Rambutan. The food was excellent. Breakfast is included and it is outstanding. Fresh squeezed juice, noodles and fresh fruit. You can also get other items, but that was my preference. This was the fourth time I have booked at this fine little hotel (has a pool also, which was very refreshing) and I highly recommend it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kettle in the room with instant coffee, small refrigerators in each room. The room was cleaned daily. The restaurant at the hotel is small but quite nice and the food was top notch each and every time.

This was a delightful oasis of calm in the midst of a bustling city, and guests were taken care of by lovely smiling lads who were happy to provide drinks and food on request. The courtyard with pool was a cool place to relax. Breakfast was good - it was included in our room tariff. We often ate other meals here too because it was easier than finding a restaurant. Prices were good, and even though the food may have been simple it suited my tastes and my wallet. I loved the room, with its extra 'day bed' and we had space to relax. Most of all, I want to commend the welcome we got, and the quality of care delivered by ALL of the friendly workers here. There are clearly more luxurious hotels in Phnom Penh, but the Rambutan Resort will give you a simple and good repose for reasonable Dollars.

At this price level nothing needs to be improved.

I liked everything. The room was kept clean every daily. It was very big with a nice balcony overlooking the swimming pool. Breakfast was a la carte with a big variety of Asian and Western dishes. Lunch and dinner were excellent as well. Staff was very friendly and you could notice very well trained in their kobs. Special thanks to chheng lean, sovvan and Devit. Overall I had a lovely stay. Price versus quality unbeatable. Thank you very much, Erwin.
