It was beautiful, very spacious in an ideal location.

The rooms were great and the location to the ocean was good

The staff were very rude and it was overpriced . The kayaks had holes and the staff blamed the previous users rather than fixing them.

Villa La Jolla is lovely, wonderful location and all that you need is around. We had Pinkie and her team look after us for the duration and couldn’t fault anything. So much food, wonderful people as we were all girls it felt like a big party sometimes with us hanging out and cooking or trying to learn how They went above and beyond

A little attention to some broken shutters needs some attention and maybe an outdoor dining table as a suggestion but very minor

It’s just a little too far

Location of this property is amazing. Right on the water, you can step out of bed, straight into the pool or the ocean. The coral reef was very safe and we went out everyday on the kayaks and paddleboards provided, and there was an abundance of fish. We loved that all the bedrooms were in their own separate wing, so everyone had their privacy. 2 rooms had beach views, the 3rd more private at the front. The house is in quite an isolated area, but is perfect distance from the only shops in the area. There is Craig's Diner and Tipsy's Pizza that both offer amazing food and coffee and drinks. We ate here several times and they were great. The supermarket has basic supplies. Often at the house you get a visit from the local dogs. They are all friendly and polite. We particularly liked Knight (in photo) The house offered cooking options. We chose to have the Lovo meal (in photo) cooked for us by the staff and we are so glad we did. It was a great experience. We especially loved the lamb. The staff were also helpful in obtaining some fruit for us. The lady went to the markets and brought us back a large array of fruits to eat. There was plenty of filtered water in 15 litre bottles - so you don't need to buy water. There were also plenty of ice cube containers and cocktail making equipment (but buy your alcohol at the airport before you get to the house). The best part of the house was that it was exactly as the photos portrayed. And it allowed our family of 6 adults to have a relaxing time by the pool, in the coral reef and inside with comfort and privacy. There are so many outdoor seating options that it's hard to decide where to sit. The pool is amazing. The other positive is that the house is in a row of other villas (maybe a row of 10 accomms) so everyone along that section is all there for the same reason and same vibe. Also note: we got extremely lucky with the weather. Perfect blue skies.

The spa wasn't working which is a shame. The information booklet was very outdated and old, so would be great to see it updated and offer more information about the area and options. Some of the appliances are a bit outdated as well. But you don't notice that after a while, as you are too busy enjoying the ocean and the pool. There aren't really any other attractions nearby in walking distance so you are really there just to enjoy the house. But there is enough food across the road to meet your eating needs thankfully.

The location is unbeatable - waterfront and absolutely beautiful. The villa is spacious and well laid out for groups to enjoy both shared spaces and privacy. We enjoyed the food prepared by the cook as well, she was very friendly and helpful as were the other staff onsite. We felt very welcomed.

Improved attention to detail for the cleanliness of the property would help; while we had a comfortable stay, we noticed general (minor) things had been missed such as greasy bench tops, dirty cutlery and generally a bit of wear and tear. With a bit of effort and attention, the villa could be truly luxurious.

The location is beautiful. Crystal clear water, incredible sunsets, golden sand, easy to find. The house is as the pictures show, opulent, large and with doors opening to the lovely pool. We opted to self-cater as we wanted complete privacy and quiet for a family holiday but the available menu looked delicious.

Tiny things could make a difference, the information book was a bit worse for wear, the snorkelling gear wasn't clean and most of the 'water toys/floatables' were broken. That said, we have nothing to compare this too and we have not self-catered in Fiji before.
