initially it was a bit difficult to find as the apartment door is around the corner on a different street than the given address.

The location is fantastic. It can get a little loud, especially on weekends, but it is very close to everything in Old San Juan but in a location that isn't particularly busy. The place was very clean and had plenty of space to move around during the day. Plenty of amenities and was very comfortable. The host is very caring and understanding and provided a ton of information during our stay which made things as easy as possible. I think it would be hard to find a better value for the location and quality of the stay.

Angel's place is steps away from great restaurants, the forts or anywhere else you'd like to visit in Old San Juan. The apartment is immaculate, private and comfortable. As hosts they thought of everything we might need, from a white noise machine, ear plugs, bluetooth speaker to beach day items like towels, sunscreen and bug spray. We didn't cook any meals but there's a fully functioning kitchen if you need to use it. The apartment was squeaky clean and well cared for. Angel went above and beyond with his responsiveness and friendliness, and provided excellent local recommendations. This place is exceptional if you want to experience all the charm of viejo San Juan!

Excellent location for exploring Old San Juan. Entry is via a keyless lock. This particular area is full of airbnbs, so it can get a bit noisy in the late evening. Angel (the host) thoughtfully provides earplugs. We brought a small sound machine, which worked fine.

Note that the apartment is up a narrowish flight of stairs (with handrail and light), so if you have mobility issues this may not be for you. Also, the sofa is quite low — again, if you have mobility/knee issues, keep that in mind.

The location is absolutely perfect--in Old San Juan, so walking distance to everything there. The design and facilities were both excellent. The way the door lock is handled -- without a key -- is perfect. The host is very responsive and helpful from the moment that you make the reservation.

The Internet connection is spotty and slow.
