Lakeside Haven Oasis (Upper)

The location is awesome. The beach is right in front of the house with only a road between. You can watch the sunrise from the deck. There's lots of sidewalks & paths for walking. There is plenty of shopping, restaurants, & activities within a short distance.

I prefer a firm bed and while you can make a firm bed softer by adding removable mattress toppers, you cannot make a soft bed firmer. I tried both of the beds on different nights & couldn't get good sleep on either. The kitchen layout is also a bit odd, but that probably can't be helped. If you are cooking a full meal you have to keep walking back & forth to get the utensils and dishes. There is also no dishwasher.

I can imagine this being a good space for two people who don’t mind the busy street and active evening neighborhood when it’s not very hot.

This space should not be marketed for 4 people. The air conditioning can’t keep up when it’s hot, there is no blind in the living room so at 6am the sofa bed is in direct sunlight. The space is much smaller than marketed, and the road in front is very noisy and the beach becomes a party place around sunset so you shouldn’t stay there with kids. We moved after one day to another booking on Airbnb and were very polite about it and the host was rude, she never responded to my feedback. They don’t care about experience - they just want easy money.

The apartment is very near Lake Michigan, only separated by a (little frequented) local street. Nice beach within walking distance (2 min). We could watch wonderful sunrises over Lake Michigan. Well equipped kitchen.

The location right by the lake. The apartment was really great. And the terrasse where you could sit and really enjoy the view. The host was very nice and helpfull.

Nothing really. But a suggestion for improvement. A curtain that leaves the light out in the bedroom so you don”t wake with the sun.

Wonderful property and perfect location on the beach.

Property manager was awesome, but recommend going through Airbnb for this Property as Booking.com was a hassle.
