Platform Avenues 5 Bed House with Free Street Parking

It was ideal for a large family group. The downstairs is a great social space and the kitchen was clean and had lots of utensils, crockery and glasses. Good location for the uni. Parking was easy as was getting the keys.

It is located on quite a shabby street behind some rental properties - possibly students. There are loads of wheelie bins on the approach to the front door. Some of the furniture in the bedrooms is shabby and it could do with renovating. One of the rooms had a bad smell but we didn’t need that room fortunately.

Spacious accommodation, key was collected easily from keysafe.

The whole accommodation really looks very tired and needs some renovations externally as well as internally. There are stains on carpeted areas as well as ceilings. The en-suite shower room shows signs of water damage and the rain shower head functions more like a hose. The second bathroom has a bath, but there was no plug , so we could not have a bath as the photo of this listing suggests. The shower head over the bath keeps falling down when in use and this is not a new issue, as it has made a visible dent in the bathtub. The kitchen is poorly equipped. There were 3 forks in total and no knives for food preparations. The dishwasher is rusty and mouldy inside, so even after running a hot cycle, when it was empty, we did not feel comfortable using it. We were provided with one tea towel which was not sufficient when washing everything by hand . The oven dish needed a good scrub before we could use it as did some of the dishes. I am afraid I cannot recommend this house and did not feel it was value for money
