Lipari - Casa Centro Storico

Well located and good Value for money. No noise and in downtown.

A very nice apartment in the heart of Lipari town with everything you could need. Light, airy, balcony (not that big but absolutely enough for drinking your morning coffee there). Kitchen with utensils is available, we didn’t use those apart from the wine opener. There is a washing machine which is a plus if you’re travelling for a longer period of time. I really loved it. Self check in, no problems. Everything was very clean.

Wifi is kind of slow/sometimes not working, so that is a bit annoying and might be a problem if you otherwise don’t have mobile network. The shower is kind of narrow, for us it wasn’t a problem but just as info.

Amazing place in a very beautifully restored old building, very luminous, and greatly positioned on the island. The vibe of the room was dreamy, like out of a fairytale. Looking out the window there is a terrace full of orange trees, that in the beginning of april were in full bloom, infusing the room with an incredible smell. The room was very spacious, had lots of blankets, towels, a comfortable and large bed, kitchen utensils, a fully functional kitchen, a washing machine. The vibe was so homely and cozy, it was actually hard to leave! I wish I stayed there longer. Beautifully styled interiors! A dream place.

Very very minor detail, but a stronger, more reliable pan to cook in would be nice! Ahaha

Excellent location right in the center and the place was perfectly clean with an exquisite bathroom. Easy self check in and a comfy bed as well as a working coffee maker and a nice view over some orange trees. Great plus: it's really quiet at night and in the morning.

Minor flaws: a real blanket instead of just a sheet would have been nice and the "terrasse" is more of a tiny outside space where you can barely place a chair. The kitchen is poorly equipped, no mugs or sharp knives, pans are worn out. Major flaws: since in the first place the stove didn't work I had to fumble around with the gas tank, which I didn't feel save with and is frankly not my job as a guest, I believe. WiFi didn't work, the owner promised to take care of it. He/she never got back to me, even after I let him/her know I'd decide to leave early in case it can't be taken care of. Very disappointing all in all.

Location was great.

It wasn’t as clean as I expected. Rugs next to the beds had soiled spots . The bed linen was old and felt rough on the skin. There weren’t enough cups and glasses. The cooking pans were very flimsy and cheap . It was hard to cook a meal in them. The shower was very small . You couldn’t turn your body well while lathering. The drain in the shower had a missing cap so if you placed your foot on it puncture you. It was hard to avoid since there wasn’t much space to move.
