3-Bedroom Cosy Reading House

I would say that the house is very cental to what we needed . We went Ascourt races , and it was easy to find off the motorway . The house is very good has every thing you need for your stay.

I would just say i thought the garden could do with a tidy up .

It was a good size, as advertised. Responsive owners when faced with a concern

There was an unpleasant smell in one of the bedrooms which could not be sourced or fixed. There also was no additional lighting in the room (bedside lamp).

The area underneath the sofa and the bed was dirty. In the evening and at night, the fence collapsed, and a next-door neighbor whom we do not know walked into the backyard. This made us feel uncomfortable, especially as we were staying with young children.

Everything. The place needed a good deep clean, repainting, radiators need bleeding and light switch fixing to the wall The garden wasn’t secure as they were fence panels down which had just been left in the back garden. Back garden needed tidying up and stinging that horse removed if anyone was gonna be able to use it. Two windows in the property are completely blown when you couldn’t see out of them. No privacy with the windows needing even nets or frosting halfway. That’s uncomfortable. Parking was an absolute nightmare, generally arose and somewhat rundown area. The reviews that people have left on here are not a true reflection of the property , and those reviews with the reason that we booked

I was contacted by the landlord 3 days before our arrival stating that we could not stay in the booked property. He said he had an identical property in an adjacent street. Upon arrival the smell of stale tobacco hit us at the door. We had a look around and found that the beds were not great and pushed against walls, there were no headboards or bedside tables. There were only 3 towels out (4 people on the booking) and the smell of tobacco could not be ignored. The location was not close to a bus route as the original property we booked was which to us was the final straw. We booked alternative accommodation at the Holiday Inn and left after only 20 minutes. This was shocking, I feel that this should not be allowed via booking.com where a landlord can change the property from that booked to an alternative lesser property.
