GBThe cabin was in a great location, close to Selfoss (for shopping and swimming pool), Kerid and on the road to Geysir. Everything you need in the kitchen for a family of 4 and our boys loved their alcove with the big sofa bed and a curtain for privacy. Clean, comfortable and cosy! Also, the hosts were very responsive. We had a problem with the WiFi and they sent some to fix it, even though it was Saturday. We enjoyed going for a walk in the surrounding woods and saw plenty of birds and rabbits.
A few more mugs would have been nice.

Arrival instructions could be a bit clearer as there are two possible entrances to the gated area with the cottages. In general, the bedroom is very nice but the sofa in the living room is not particularly comfortable for adults and when the place is used by 4 people, proper sleeping furniture would be better.

ILOur expirience with the house was short. The expirience in finding it was very long and frustraiting. The instructions were confuzing , so it took about 40' to find the house, and than the yard was full of muskitos. We couldn't open the windows and the hous smelled bad- as if it was cloused for a long piriod of time. We left after 15 min' and found a room in a hotel. Very disapointing

The plate of the heating chamber fell off and slightly injured my foot. I believe the owner should be responsible for operating the heating system, thus the convenience aspect was not optimal.

USUSSo snug and comfortable in the midst of some unexpectedly cold and stormy weather! Just a beautiful retreat, wish we could have stayed longer.
I got the email with the lockbox specifics a bit late so I had to try 5 lock boxes (in high winds) before I landed on the right one! That same email also explained how remote the cabin was, so we didn't stock up on groceries as we would have had we known.
