Number 3 Pier Road Apartment

Location good, the lady who handled check in was helpful and professional, the place was clean

Could not get on board with the lack of guest provisions. No shampoo or shower gel and not even 1 tea bag or instant coffee to be seen. No kitchen roll. Only fairy liquid to do any cleaning, no drying rack for plates. Just a lack of care and attention to guest needs. It feels like its been 'forgotten' by the owners to me. Like others have said the blind in master bed doesn't work and hasnt been repaired, pillows too hard, tvs in bedrooms look like laptops on the wall they are that small. It needs some TLC to bring it up to scratch in my opinion. We found it hard to spend time there when certain every day items are missing.

Because this is a stunning 5 star property there could be just some little changes to make it make it even better. 1) the blind In the bedroom was not working correctly / could not use / unable to get natural light in the bedroom 2) Change the toilet seat, really lets down the lovely bathroom 3) consider changing the shower, just not powerful enough to wash hair, had to use the shower for longer which cannot be cost / energy efficient.

We had a lovely weekend using this apartment. It's a great base to explore Whitby and watch the world go by through the huge windows. We had everything we needed, including plenty of towels, comfortable seating, comfy beds, nice bathroom with separate shower and bath and a decently stocked kitchen with utensils etc. Parking permits included for use on local streets, we found parking without issue. Overall it's a great spot.

There was no welcome tray, so make sure to bring your own drinks etc with you on arrival. The apartment is right next door to a pub. The music on Friday and Saturday night was incredibly loud and intrusive, so much so that we gave up trying to watch a film both nights. Obviously, not something the apartment owners can control it's just something to consider when booking.

The lights keeping going off.I understand this being eco friendly but is rather annoying.Need a soap dish or similar in shower cubicle.

The attention to detail and obviously the view with the big windows were a bonus making nice to have a coffee and enjoy the view
