XL Terrace, Lazy River, I-O Pools, Game Room, Spa, Beach, Luxury 2-2 Penthouse!

Location, facilities, cleanliness, comfort and finish are top drawer and the host could not have been more helpful. The westerly facing balcony catches the sun from late morning till glorious sunset.

You get what you pay for.

We were apprehensive reading the list of possible fines if we didn't follow the host's instructions but we were careful to comply (as we would have anyway). Aaron graciously and unexpectedly allowed us to check in early (which gave us extra time to enjoy floating in the lovely lazy river) and also provided two free beach towels. The condo was in good condition and very clean (except for the moldy seal in the washing machine, a common issue with front loaders). Main bedroom is rather small (not enough room beside king-size bed to open the closet doors). Bed was comfortable except for the firm pillows (consider bringing your own). The leather sofa seat is very deep (seemingly designed for long thighs), so add a pillow for back support. Kitchen could use one or two sharp knives, but there were plenty of dishwasher tablets and three hair dryers provided (unlisted amenities). There were no perfumy smells of air fresheners or fabric softeners, and I appreciated that due to allergies. Parking garage was nice and pretty empty at the time. Note that this area of Galveston beach is completely covered by waves at high tide, and you may need mosquito spray.

There was nothing to not like

Unit was nice and well apportioned. Resort gave us a 4pm late checkout since the unit was not booked on our checkout day. This was a great bonus and allowed kids to enjoy the lazy river for another afternoon. Nice and very friendly staff.

Couple of minor maintenance issues but nothing that I needed to call the staff for. Sinks in the bathrooms were slow to drain. Main living room tv had dead pixels in a 1” circle. That’s the only negative and it really wasn’t an issue.
