Double-tree apartment by A&M

Really really lovely little apartment. It has great amenities (kitchenette, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, crockery, pans, washing machine etc…) and a large tv. It is just a 10 minute walk from the city centre and absolutely perfect for a long weekend away!

Apartment was clean, just 10-15 minutes walking to the centre plus that you can always get an uber for 4-5 EUR. Easy instructions to get the key from a box across the street.

As soon as we made the reservation we contacted the host asking to use the sofa bed as well, as we were two friends visiting Bratislava and wanted to sleep in different beds. They replied confirming it. We also wanted to check-in an hour earlier if possible, just leave our luggage and go sightseeing, but they asked 10 EUR (per hour earlier) for it! When we arrived at the apartment, we only saw the double bed made up (for two), no extra sheet for the sofa bed. On the bed there was a double sheet, two single blankets and two pillows. So, in the sofa we could use the single blanket and pillow from the double bed, but we still needed an extra sheet. We messaged the host and they replied that what we need is on the double bed. We messaged back asking for an extra sheet, as perhaps our first message wasn't clear to them. In the meantime we tried opening the sofa to a bed and we had a shock. First, there were several hair not cleaned up in the extra part of the sofa bed and also the sofa bed doesn't not fit a person taller than ~1.50cm! We checked the listing again and is indeed misinforming, as it claims it can sleep up to 4 adults, but the truth is it can sleep two in the double bed and two much shorter/kids in the sofa bed. The host then replied that we only need one sheet, which was now obvious why as we could both fit in the double bed only. They knew. We booked this place to have two different beds to sleep, we messaged the host right away and instead of them explaining the situation to us so that we would find another place, they decided to mock us and ruin part of our holidays.

The person in charge was not helpful at all. He wouldn’t respond to my call as he was busy - only by messages - after trying to open the locker with the wrong code he gave us . The room was not as images - much better in photos- old dated The room was not cleaned properly - side table full of dust - sheets stained Under the bed they place the broom and whatever they want .. really ? The wouldn’t have even 1 bottle of water for us who don’t drink tap water

As a hotel owner in my country, I would say the apartment is super clean and has everything you need. The host (Andrea) is very nice and responsive. The location is central and close to the old town. Clear check in and check out instructions. I highly recommend it if you want to visit Bratislava for few days.
