Fred's Yurts at Hay Festival

Location was great - after 3 nights at Tangerine Fields it was good to be so close. Breakfast was disappointing as I can't eat pastries due to allergies.

Loved the Yurts, beds, atmosphere, location. The staff are great, too!

I do think it'd be best to have a power cord in the Yurts to charge phones/medical devices privately. I understand that larger items like laptops would need to be charged in the main reception area with more generators, but smaller items could be charged privately. Also, the power and water pressure/boiler in the shower area was prone to cutting out at peak use times. Maybe move the potable water closer to the bathroom/shower facilities to make teeth brushing easier.

They really make an effort to make the place cheerful, attractive and comfortable. Good facilities considering most of the year it's just an empty field.

The beds are essentially mattresses on the floor. Comfortable once you're used to them but very low.
