Little Gem in the Mumbles! Fishermans Cottage with Log Burner, Dog friendly and Welcome Breakfast Hamper!

The cottage was quirky and homely with lots of character.

The host was great, very quick to reply to any queries via email. The location was ideal with a nice walk into town or to the beach

The Fishermans cottage is such a lovely and cosy place! Great location as well, just a few steps away from the hub of the Mumbles. We really enjoyed our stay there.

There were issues with the shower when we were there but the host was very responsive and handled this very well.

Breakfast was good, a varied selection. More than expected.

Roadworks preventing access to the house and a 5 mile detour. We did not receive and pre warning about the roadworks, so had to discover through trial and error a detour.

The cottage was lovely. It was very well furnished and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast hamper was excellent

The open staircase was a little difficult for me because of my age (it would also perhaps be a problem for small children).

A cosy little cottage, warm and welcoming and in a great location.

Nothing! It was perfect.

Cosy cottage and comfy bed, everything you need for a relaxing break away. Loved the wood burning fire... Heating is easy to use, and a combination boiler ensures hot water on tap.

Shower was poor with a broken thermostat. No dustpan and brush nor functional vacuum cleaner. It would have been useful to be told the road was inaccessible from the village near the beach.

Great location (should have been warned about the access road being closed). Very comfortable and well heated.

Kitchen was very tight and restricted. Not wonderfully equipped.

Location is great - very short walk down to the sea and into Mumbles. It’s up a hill, but that’s one of the things that makes Mumbles so picturesque! The cottage is small but very comfortable, and the breakfast pack is a very nice touch. Kitchen is well equipped and the place was very clean. We were able to find parking nearby without problems (even though the road - resident permit parking only - was being dug up and actually largely closed when we visited).

As others have noted, the stairs are really very steep - not recommended for small children or the elderly. This would be a particular concern for bathroom visits during the night, as the bathroom is located downstairs.
