Cozy Pieracchi Apartment - A Slice of History

Just as we imagined. Beautiful and handy location in the old town - great for exploring the area.

L'appartamento era molto grande e ben arredato, con una cucina pratica e molto funzionale, in posizione ottimale, all'interno del centro storico. In particolare mia moglie ha molto gradito l'uso della lavatrice. Siamo stati anche fortunati col parcheggio, proprio sotto le mura, vicinissimo alla porta d'ingresso, in teoria disponibile per due ore come da segnale stradale, ma in realta' mai in funzione, a detta dei residenti.

Da precisare, per chi ha problemi di deambulazione o e' carico di valigie: l'appartamento e' allocato all'interno del vicolo Pieracchi che collega due vie parallele. Di conseguenza presenta due entrate, di cui una in forte discesa e l'altra in salita. Personalmente noi non abbiamo avuto problemi di equilibrio. Ma se dovesse diluviare, di certo l'ingresso in salita sarebbe da preferire...

Very old (historic) , comfortable apartment in the old town. Ease of communication with owner. Very accurate information re parking and accessing the apartment.

Shower pressure was a bit ordinary, but probably to be expected in a building this old.

Its location. It’s a 10 minute walk down to the town where one can get groceries and such. Great cafe inside the walls and several good restaurants as well.

Parking is a challenge but such is the case with Tuscan hill towns everywhere. Cars are not allowed within the walls so be prepared to walk up steep inclines with your luggage.

Location! A lovely Home in the middle of the historic heart of Barga. The apartment is very complete.

The last bit to the apartment is very steep, we had very rainy weather which made it a slippery slope. The apartment is perfect for two.

Good beds and linen. Location excellent . Welcome warmth from the radiators on arrival

Shower was temperamental hot and cold

Attention to historical detail, personal and gracious communication with host, peace and quiet, in a little world of your own.

I would have loved a private outdoor space but appreciated the calm space and beauty inside.
