Cosy Hygge/ Scottish themed home by Loch Ness

Excellent location - a walking distance from the centre of Fort Augustus and there are pleasant walks in the woods nearby. Although the house is on the main road and there is a car repair workshop on the other side of the road, it is not noisy. It is actually not as exposed as it looks in the picture, the front lawn is much smaller, there are hedges and trees. The mattress in the main bedroom is firm and very comfortable. The other bedroom has two beds - a double and a single and for some privacy there is a foldable wooden partition if required. The kitchen is fully equipped (except a microwave), there is even a Magic Bullet blender and a draw full of spices. We were able to use the fireplace in the living room which made our stay even cosier. Quality shampoo, hair conditioner, soaps, dishwashing and laundry detergents were provided. Double sink in the bathroom is definitely a bonus. Overall the house is very clean. We would happily stay there again. We also appreciate the host’s flexibility with the checkout time.

Amazing house, amazing facilities, and great attention to the little details. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and well thought out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

I would have preferred a shower curtain to avoid spraying water out of the tub, a hand-hold to get out of the the tub as it is quite deep, and just a note on the latches on the inside doors. There is no way to open them from the outside so if children get locked in, I am not sure how to get them out.
