Lisa Marie-Luxury Caravan-Seton Sands-8 Berth

Thinking we had booked something right on the beach as advertised 0m from beach, turned out we were nearly at the very opposite end of this huge van park over a km away. Heaters not turned on and no answer from the owners on how to do this. The beds were not good could feel every spring. Can’t understand why now towels are offered,

The park was lovely. Only slept there as at a wedding nearby. Good size, handy with 2 toilets. Shower was brilliant.

On arrival, there was a whole wooden veranda from someone else's caravan. It exposed large screws that were dangerous. The veranda it's self had old camping chairs on it. This was our view from the side veranda. Inside the sofas and foot stool had numerous large stains, we were very disappointed with the condition.

Beautiful location by the sea. Lots to do for families. Close to family in Port Seton and North Berwick. Friendly and helpful staff who dealt with a few issues promptly. Mainly the condition of the upholstery in the lounge area, which was not good. They assured us that it was in hand and being renewed. It was clean but looked very stained so we chose to cover it with blankets from the car. Bathrooms and kitchen area all very clean. Decking area in glorious sunshine and very private. Perhaps a little trim of the bushes that are beginning to take over one corner would be a good idea.

The bedrooms were very small and the beds were not very comfortable. We were only there for 2 nights but can imagine a week would be difficult. No pillow protectors or mattress protectors which was disappointing.

Easy to book, amenities on site very good, as was the site cleanliness.

Caravan did not live up to its description or expectation. Certain areas of the caravan were either tired, damaged or dirty, as the caravan is described as Luxury. When I challenged this with the letting proprietors, I was met with a very dismissive attitude, not willing to help in the early stages of my complaint

This is our fourth visit to Seton Sands. We come to participate in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival. This is the second time our caravan has been located in the Golf Village. The surroundings are beautiful, it’s close to the field for our dog, but it is further away from the play park and the restaurant. The caravan was well equipped and well laid out. The bed linen was immaculate , however, there were no pillow protectors. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus for a big party. In the short period it didn’t rain, our granddaughter enjoyed playing out on the veranda. The patio doors open up to a beautiful space. It’s secluded, and not overlooked. There is plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture.

THE WEATHER! It was dreadful! The rain was biblical, therefore, many paths were flooded, meaning we had to walk around the campsite on the roadside. Despite being a speed limit, very few cars adhere to it. The caravan was well presented. However, for an 8 Berth, it lacks storage space. The majority of our clothes had to remain in our cases. Storage space for food was limited, too. We found a huge cupboard housing outdoor chairs, at the back of the van, we stored our non-perishables in there. Additionally, car parking allocation is poor. One would assume that 8 people would not be arriving in one car! There is space for one car only. I asked a neighbouring caravan if there was any additional space nearby, he said ‘the car park at the site entrance!’ With the type of weather we experienced, this would not have been ideal.
