Chambres et Tables d'hôtes Chez Paul et Lydie

Incredibly good deal for the price! I had a huge comfy bed and on-suite shower with a garden-facing view. However, what makes this place stand out is that Paul and Lydie host apero at 7pm every evening with their guests. It's a wonderful opportunity to get to know the hosts (Cilaos locals), the other guests (probably also there for hiking), and share some traditional Reunion food and drink.

It is a small but cosy room with a bathroom. There is also a common area with a TV and a shared kitchen. On the day of arrival the hosts contacted us and offerd a 3-course homemade meal (local Créole cuisine) for 23 euros /person. We shared it with the other guests and the hosts themselves, the food was delicius and plentiful, probably the best shrimp I had in my life, plus we had a nice chat meanwhile, definitely worth it. The breakfast was included in the price and it was also very tasty and more than enough (bacon, eggs, bread, butter, local jam, various local fruits, yoghurt). We would definitely come back.

If I had to write something, maybe there should have been a bit more place for clothes in the room - we only stayed for 1 night so it wasn't a problem but if we stayed longer, that would have been a little incovenient.

Room was nice and spatious. Shared bathroom was clean. Shared kitchen was well equipped.

Road to accommodation is little bit narrow, but it's manageable.

We like the place a lot. The house is managed by Paul and Lydia, the kindest we have met. They welcomed us every day we stayed with an aperitif in the sun set. Paul took us to the beginning of the piton de neiges. We highly recommend this stay in cilaos.

Amazing facilities and warmest welcome! As previously mentioned, we were offered an apéritif with the other guests and it was a great opportunity to learn about the area etc There was everything you could need - all so well thought through: washing machine, washing powder, clothes horse, cooking utensils, salt, pepper, oil... and the most DELICIOUS breakfast of fresh fruit and freshly baked bread/ pastries. An amazing stay. I hope we can return one day

We didn't realise some areas were communal and nearly locked people out! Our bathroom was private but in the communal area (it was the biggest though with the washing machine 👍

The host was great!

It was a little cold during the night and I didn’t have a blanket. Also, the property is not in Cilaos, but in a village nearby: Mare Seche.

Very friendly owner, writes back right away, helps out a lot. Very clean, completely renovated. Fully equipped Kitchen. Price OK.

If I'd would have has a pool, I would have been giving a ten. Everything else was perfect and I can highly recommend it.
