Eon 3 - Luxury Penthouse - Zona 10 de la Ciudad de Guatemala

Luxury penthouse booking given away to someone else on afternoon of booking with reason being broken sofa bed. This did not make sense, seemed suspicious - as if more money could have been made for a last minute luxury penthouse booking. Did not need the sofa bed facility, not given the choice to keep the room booked. Broken balcony door lock in apartment we were moved to, so not secure. Advertised as having airport shuttle but this was not the case as it required getting a taxi at extra expense. Sent a link to waze but this was not helpful as no help give with any taxi service. Would have expected link to a taxi company if this was an airport shuttle service. False advertising of ‘airport shuttle’ to lure in customers. No extras in room such a bottle of drinking water, unlike other places. Very helpful person with sending messages and kind offer of a refund and to find somewhere else to stay but not realistic at 22:00! Kept the rooms we had been moved to and was offered a reduced cash payment but still expensive for what it was at 80 dollars. Felt cheated to be honest. Cash payment suspicious, used card payment everywhere else. Emphasise however that the person who dealt with us was lovely.

Location, host super accommodating. Easy check-in. Only used it to store bags for a day in the city.

Building has a mild swear smell including inside the apartment.

Location was great and about 15 min taxi ride from the airport. Building was very nice. And the host was very nice and communicative and helpful.
