Stunning 5 bedroom period property by the sea

Terrific central location and beautiful, spacious, well-equipped property. Nice secure garden for the doggy! Kirsty was a fantastic, responsive host and we felt very welcome. At once a home from home and a touch of holiday luxury.

The car park adjacent to the property is very convenient but very costly, but the host provided one resident's permit and supplied great advice re local parking options.

Nice size with plenty of room. Good location for local shops and amenities.

In a word "superb". Kirsty was fantastic.

Not a thing

The property was warm and provided ample space for a family of 9. The welcome was warm with a personalised note of flowers, cake and the essentials to relax. We felt at home instantly

Parking was tricky and the bin situation wasn’t clear. We understand about the day to day refuse but recycling was mudddy. We’re keen to recycle where we can and ended up taking it all home.

The house is very impressive and perfect for a family gathering. The kitchen and dining area are real hubs for family to sit and enjoy. The lounges were very nice. The bedrooms were all perfect with lovely bedding and towels. There were more than enough bathrooms for a large family gathering. The shops and facilities nearby were very, very good with an excellent butchers and supermarkets very close and within walking distance. The beach, restaurants and cafe's in the vicinity were good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

Parking for cars is an issue. Kirsty very kindly set one of our vehicles up to be parked in the roads of Herne Bay however, finding somewhere to park nearby the property proved nearly impossible, this was especially important as we were international travelers with large bags. The Car Park at the rear of the property is perfect and very convenient but it costs 17 GBP per day, two cars parked there soon builds up to a substantial cost. The barbecue had not been cleaned in some time, we cleaned it ourselves which was not an issue and were able to use it, but at the costs I would expect such fine details to be perfect.

The location is good, close to the sea and the shopping street. An excellent range of nearby restaurants, particularly if you like fish. The house is well equipped for a large group. The host was very helpful.

Finding a free parking place can be a challenge, although the host provided a parking permit, which certainly helped.
