Romantic Shepherds Hut with Hot Tub in The Heart of Snowdonia

The setting is really beautiful and private. It's always a bonus when you have a inside shower and toilet and everything was so clean and well presented

Unfortunately we went over a rainy weekend but that didn't stop us from sitting outside to have a BBQ. The Sheppard's Hut doesn't cater for rainy days and it would have been nice just to have another large umbrella to be able to cover us from the rain. So for rainy days maybe a small air fryer could have saved the day. I would also just put an extra strip of astro turf going to the steps of the hut. It was really muddy and this you walk into the hut and it got really dirty. Then there was the hot tub which was a awesome extra to the hut. Only problem is that we never got to use it only because the logs supplied is really big and hard to burn. If I could have cut those logs in half that fire would have been roaring. Last but not least.... For a beautiful place like that I would have liked to drink my wine out of a proper wine glass and not plastic wine glasses it just doesn't taste the same.

Really nice and comfy with everything you need. Nice location too with lovely village to walk into with fab pubs serving really nice food

Everything wa sperfect and as described

The hut was lovely and cosy, it warmed up quickly with the little heater and we especially loved that it had a little heater in the bathroom as it got cold quickly. We love the hot tub, it took us a while to get it started as we later discovered we didnt have any kindling however we went to the reception and the lady was fantastic, she gave us some and extra matches and instructions at no extra charge. There were 2 lovely horses right outside the hut and it feels nice and secluded. The bed was comfortable and the hut had everything we needed (kettle, microwave, hob, shower etc) overall we had a great stay!

Although most of the cabin was clean, we had to rewash all of the pots and cups as they were filthy, there were urine already in the toilet that hadn't been flushed and toilet roll half used. Also something to note that even though in the book it says tap water is drinkable the tap in the bathroom runs yellow every few seconds or so, so we opted to buy bottled water to brush our teeth. Also you do get 2 bags of firewood for the hot tub however we had no kindling so spent 2hrs trying to light it for it to keep going out, the reception was surprised we didnt have it and apologised. We still had a fantastic stay and these are minor things that can be improved very easily. Thank you!

Only criticism as other guests have pointed out is that the shower is not y to he best. There are however showers on the campsite. Which wasn’t a problem for us. Other than that a very pleasant stay.

The bed was very comfy and I loved the fairy lights and curtain across the bed it made it very comfy. The hot tub was nice and lovely to have such nice views when in it. Location was good we climbed Cadair Idris one of the days and this was only 10 minutes away!

I’d say is the shower didn’t really get hot and when it did the hot only lasted about five seconds so was hard to have a consistently hot shower. The hot tub also took us a while to get the hang of but I think that was us just not being able to light a fire as the instructions were very clear we just found it difficult. Small mark on the white towel when we arrived and also on the inside of one of the robes, didn’t let it bother us really but just a minor negative and something to improve on as it made them look dirty.
