Great location. Spotlessly clean and spacious accommodation. Modern furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Host was really friendly and promptly answered all questions.

Fire alarm at 1:30am! According to other residents it happens regularly.

No facilities near by for breakfast, everything was good standard, tea coffee and milk provided which was good after a long drive. Beds were comfy only snag the duvet or duvet cover in 2nd room ruffled and noisy which kept my 3yr old grandson awake and could not settle down for the night

Location is perfect - 4 minutes walk from the train station (use the cut through, not the main road, if travelling by foot). Well lit and smart area. If you can't get parked on the surrounding streets, then use the train station multi-storey for £3.50 per day, length extended by phone / app / website if you need to. Apartment is spacious, clean, very modern, warm (set the individual room temperatures yourself) and has a fully equipped kitchen. Entry is easy - the owner sent a front door entry code and lockbox details the day before arrival. The apartment block itself is quiet (it appears predominantly residential with singles, couples and families), so you're guaranteed a good sleep. The train line runs past the back of the apartment, but there isn't an issue with the noise from this. It's £12 return by train to central London (trains run at regular intervals), or £17 return including an all-zone Tube pass and London bus (this was at the weekend, so not sure if the prices are different at peak times / during the week), so you can nip all over the sights of London very cheaply. St Albans itself has a lovely selection of restaurants, bars and shops, which are about a 12 minute walk from the apartment block - again, a very pleasant and safe walk through a presentable area. We will definitely be back.
