Ojai Vacation Home with Views on the East End

Catie's home (aka The Pixie Palace) is exactly what a palace might look like if it were to exist in an enchanted hollow in the middle of a wondrous California small town. The house is quiet, large, spotless, unique, and the amenities were wonderful--a shining grand piano, incredibly interesting artwork of all types and genres are festooned everywhere. The kitchen was immaculate, spacious, and easy to use. Every room is filled with art and color, from the bed coverings, to the walls, to the bathrooms, to the outside areas. We picked tangerines and oranges that were delicious. We walked the neighborhood and actually met some neighbors... and some goats. We enjoyed walking at night in the darkness and watching a million stars shine in a blue black sky. Catie made everything easy and welcoming. A round, warm outdoor jacuzzi like structure. It was all great. Easy to find, a lot of parking available, total privacy. It was just a great experience.

It is beautiful inside the house and memorable. The outside facilities (a tennis court, hammocks, gardens, other things such as lighting, were a little more rustic than what we were expecting, but we were there to play golf for four days, so we came home at dusk, too tired to do much more than luxuriate in the beautifully air-conditioned home.
