Phāea Cretan Malia, a Member of Design Hotels

Ons verblijf was prima. Het was er alleen extreem druk met voornamelijk gezinnen met jonge kinderen. Voor gezinnen zal het een goed verblijf zijn maar als je de rust opzoekt was dat niet altijd ideaal—soms zaten we net te ontbijten in een creche. De kamers werden schoongemaakt maar niet echt opgeruimd. Om te eten moet je op voorhand reserveren en daar zijn ze niet echt flexibel in.

Wir waren zum 2. Mal in diesem Hotel und hatten wieder einen tollen Urlaub. Freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, top Essen und wunderschöne Anlage. Jederzeit wieder.

Es waren sehr viele Familien mit Kleinkinder da. Beim Frühstück war es deshalb laut und hektisch.

The rooms are well appointed, comfortable with nice balconies or verandas. There are a lot of families, but the staff try to ensure they are accommodating and quick to serve you. The beach is very nice with all you need to spend the day and relax.

The entertainment in the evening ends fairly early, but changes daily. You need a car to go into town or do any exploring.

The property is very nice and is geared towards couples and families that like to stay active and do activities. The property is clean and well maintained, though the beach is very rocky (there’s a small section that is sandy).

The bathrooms are pretty small with a very large door that takes up most of the space, the shower glass is too small so water goes everywhere, and the little basket to hold soaps is right where you need to stand to shower properly - not thought out well at all. There’s a space under the doors to the room where bugs can easily come in, especially at night. The rooms also seem to be made with very cheap materials (ex. zero soundproofing making it difficult to sleep, wallpaper and tile that don’t go the entire length of the wall, uneven tiles, etc.)
