Phāea Cretan Malia, a Member of Design Hotels

We had the most wonderful experience at this hotel. Our room had a stunning beach view – waking up to the sound of the waves each morning was absolutely magical. The setting couldn’t be better, and it immediately put us into holiday mode. The food was a true highlight. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had – an incredible spread with something for everyone, from fresh fruit and pastries to local Cretan specialties, all beautifully prepared. Every meal we had here was delicious, showcasing authentic flavours that made us fall in love with Cretan cuisine. The ice cream and waffles parlour on site was a huge hit, especially with my child – such a treat to have this kind of indulgence just a few steps away. The facilities are wonderfully child-friendly, making it easy to relax and enjoy family time. From thoughtful play areas to the welcoming atmosphere. Finally, the staff truly made the difference. Every single person we encountered went the extra mile to make our stay special. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were remarkable – we felt looked after in every way. This hotel exceeded all expectations and gave us memories to treasure. We can’t wait to return!

We spent a week here with our two daughters. It was an amazing experience. The hotel itself is beautifully designed with several options for swimming and laying out. It was great to be able to stay at a hotel where we could access the ocean directly. We never had issues finding beach chairs. The staff was incredibly nice and the food was excellent. Would love to return here again someday!

Genoten van ligging aan het strand en mooie tuin want het ligt wel prachtig! En het ziet er prachtig uit! Kamer was ook erg schoon.

Prijzen! Voor alle extra activiteiten moest je gigantische extra’s betalen. (Broodbakcursus €50, olijfolietasting €35 etc). Prijzen in restaurant erg hoog. En resort overvol met baby’s en peuters! Dus na 11 uur ook echt niks meer te doen en dood. Restaurant altijd vol en niet meer te boeken omdat iedereen z’n volledige week al had gereserveerd. Hadden een kamer aan het schoonmaakhok. Dus stond continu schoonmaakkar aan ene kant en open hok aan de andere kant, en zak met zooi aan de voorkant van onze entree. Daarbij hadden ze op de rekening ‘per ongeluk’ €115 transferkosten berekend (dus goed je rekening checken bij afrekenen) maar zijn met eigen huurauto gekomen.
