The cleaning staff Paula and yasmin did an amazing job maintaining the facility clean!

I would not recommend this hostel for solo female travelers due to serious concerns about safety and staff accountability. During my stay, the hostel relied on volunteers without what appeared to be adequate screening or supervision. One volunteer behaved inappropriately toward my friend, crossing clear personal boundaries. Another volunteer who was present recognized the discomfort of the situation but chose to leave, knowingly leaving a woman alone with someone she believed had sexual intent. What was most troubling was the hostel’s response afterward. When my friend attempted to report the incident, the front desk staff were dismissive and appeared more focused on silencing her than listening. Instead of being supported, she was made to feel as though she was at fault for what happened. For a place that markets itself as a social and welcoming environment, there was a clear lack of care for women’s safety and for handling sensitive situations with professionalism. Until stronger safeguarding measures, proper volunteer vetting, and trauma-informed staff training are in place, I cannot consider this hostel a safe environment for solo female travelers. For clarity, I am attaching a photo below of the individuals mentioned, as they were part of the volunteer staff at the time of this incident.
