The view and correspondence/detailed instructions received

The sheets and bedding smelt terrible, and the noise is pretty loud

there’s no kitchen sadly and the showers in some rooms get far too hot or too cold, there’s no in between other than that amazing place to stay at!

"Don't Go!!! It's terrible!"

1.0

Man wohnt in schnell zusammengeschusterten Blechhütten. Hellhörig und undicht. Dank fehlender Fliegennetzen hast du immer reichlich Insekten drin.

"Lovely tiny house but needs more attention to detail"

6.0

It’s a cute little tiny house surrounded by bush and has everything you need. The bed was comfortable and clean and I enjoyed having my own bathroom.

I didn’t like that there was no hand soap and not enough toilet paper. Also there’s electricity went out and I wasn’t get onto the owners. So there was no solution, it was pitch black after six pm and I had no light or electricity for charging my phone for the remainder of my stay, which made things quite unpleasant.

"It depends on your perspective 😅 rsrsrs"

5.0

It has Wi-Fi, hot water when electricity works, the nature view is nice and the bed is very comfortable

To arrive there is a super hill and the check in is very confused, its super loudly the sound of the rain in the roof Because its made of metal (really, i like the sound of rain but it is crazy), and there is no kitchen or anything to boil a water or something like this. There is no place to put your clothes as well. Last day we had no electricity and the owner just answered me saying its normal, not offering a solution or suggesting we could do check out when electricity comes Back. We went home with no shower and had to pack everything with no light.

Interesting room. Owners are clearly art or design buffs, so the room has all kind of art pieces about New York and San Francisco, which is kind of groovy. The most unusual design I have ever seen for a bathroom tap. Incredible towel origami. It is a self-check-in place so you follow the instructions provided by messaging for entry code and key in a box etc. Unfortunately the key was not in the box when I got there at night. The owner, however was very swift and timely in providing a solution in an upgrade for an apparently better room for no added cost. A very nice old man is a janitor or other and was doing his best to be helpful in different situations. In terms of value for money, it is one of three cost effective accommodation options I found in the area.

Location is up a steep uphill walk from the centre, so I recommend you get a tuktuk if you have luggage, otherwise it's a very strong workout. The room is one of around 12 units crammed to the max on the property and half the rooms are clad with corrogated iron, which feels a bit like a shanty town. Not too much it terms of a space to hang out outside the room. You could continually hear things falling on the tin roof and animals walking on it. One of the two nights I stayed had a choir of dogs barking through the night just below the room. That was rough, but you do get that in Guatemala, where calm is a precious commodity. The are zero hooks or shelves in the room, so everything has to stay in the suitcase or backpack. A bit annoying if you're there for more than one night. There is a kitchen on the property, but it was locked and there was no way of using it when I was there. Another guest said they had talked to the owner and it was closed for renovations. Curiously there was a coffee machine in the room with one capsule to make one cup of coffee. Another guest said that they used it to boil water (without the capsule) to make a cup of tea, which was a cool idea in the absence of a kitchen facility.
