Pearl of the East in Ceiba with Ocean View and Private Rooftop

This was our first family visit to Puerto Rico. We had a fantastic time! I'm so thankful we found The Pearl of East. We flew into San Juan, rented a car with Enterprise through Costco.com. We spent 4 days at their place sightseeing and then took the ferry to spend 3 days in Culebra. The communication and hospitality of the hosts, Joe & Johanna's is wonderful! Their place is perfect! It has cold AC in each room, nicely decorated, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. We loved the roof top terrace. The views are beautiful especially at night time we had a constant breeze! They truly have thought of everything you could possibly need for your stay and provided bug spray to borrow, beach supplies, cooler. Johanna was so nice and helpful from the time of booking and until the very last day. I was a little overwhelmed planning our trip since there is so much to see and do. Johanna was always only a text away in offering guidance and recommendations on where to go, what to see and do. She provided us with her own personal home town contacts on the mainland and the islands.The location was perfect for visiting the rainforest, local beaches, bioluminescent tour, and (15 minutes to Puerto Rico Ferry to Culebra and Vieques). The complex is gated with security tucked up on the hill, it was very quiet and we felt safe at all times. Walmart and several restaurants are just a short drive from the place. We made meals several times and found everything we needed in the kitchen. There is a big nice community pool but unfortunately we never went since there is so much to see and do. There's just not enough time in the day. We hope to return again one day. Thank you again Joe and Johanna for sharing your place with our family. And for checking on us while in Culebra and even after we arrived home. ❤️ Best of luck to you both!

Everything!!! Love the place I thought it wasn't real because it was such a good deal but the penthouse was beyond my expectations!!! The owners were extremely nice and helpful love how welcoming they made all feel I can't wait to stay at this beautiful property again. Thank you !!

The location was far from old San Juan but it was perfect for us because is extremely close to the luminescent lagoon and the ferry also about 10 minutes from this place is a strip of restaurants and bars overlooking the beach which most locals go to it was amazing!!! Overall the distance from the city was a plus such a great place

Loved the location!! Penthouse was large and luxurious. Small touches by the owners were so appreciated. Would stay again for sure.

The apartment was very large with a wonderful penthouse. It was equipped with everything we could think of--and more. AC all appliances worked well. Howt was wonderful and very helpful on the phone.

One of us thought the bed was a little hard. No cable TV. These are minor issues

First off I'll start by saying WOW it can't get no better. this complex and location was way beyond expectations Joe & Joahana are amazing host make you feel like family I recommend anyone to stay here you will not regret it I will be back looking to be a frequent tenant for years to come God bless Joe & joahana

The apartment has everything you need .. and then some more! Beautifully decorated and spacious - and the roof terrace is perfect! 👌🏽

My husband and I had the opportunity to stay at the Pearl of the East, and it was by far the best experience we’ve had traveling! We came to Puerto Rico for our honeymoon, where we were welcomed with champagne, roses, and so much more. Johanna and Joe go far beyond out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, and answer any questions you may have! Not only are they super helpful with checking in, but they also will help you find fun excursions and great restaurants near the area! The penthouse is absolutely stunning, with the most amazing rooftop views. We truly feel so lucky to have found this spot, and cannot wait to come back for years to come!

Amazing property, exceeded our expectations . Excellent view, spacious room with various activities prepared, close to scuba diving and ferry, hosts are very tentative and welcome.
