Fantastic retreat 5min from Village with media room, AC and sauna!

The proximity to the town and mountains. Comfy beds. Good coffee selection.

I did not like the fact that there was no water and at first the host said it wasn’t going to get fixed for 1-2 days. So 1-2 days with out showering and flushing toilets ??? Unacceptable. It should of been fixed right away. Plus we were only there for 3 days total. The first night should be refunded due to the inconvenience. We had to melt ice to flush the toilets. You can’t expect 6 people to be In a house with out water. Specially when you are paying for a short term rental. The water was re stored by mid morning the next day. Furthermore, either the boiler or something else makes a clunking noise when it turns on. That noise is REALLY loud in the first floor bedroom and it is impossible to sleep. I had to buy ear plugs to tolerate it. Also host should of had somebody clean the drive way and front pathway of snow before and while we were there.

Having cable TV was a plus. The downstairs bedroom en suite was good.

The closeness to Route 100 made it that one could hear the busy traffic.

Very spacious and comfortable with the added bonus of the sauna. Nice touches with lots of coffee, herbs, and condiments.

The house was lovely and the little yard with firepit and chairs were great to enjoy the outdoors. The house is beautifully furnished and the sauna is a real bonus. Lots of space for all.

Nothing, it was perfect

The house was very comfortable. We had 2 men and 3 ladies (none related) staying there while on a mission trip to help rehab part of a personage next to a local church (Grace Bible Church). We were less than 10 minutes away. We put the ladies upstairs and the guys downstairs. We made meals in the kitchen most nights which helped save $ on food. It was nice to have dinner together then move to the sofas for discussion and devotion time. The kitchen was well equipped. Even though I was told in advance there was no crockpot, there IS one! However, there was no electric mixer or "masher" for our mashed potatoes ...but they got them done using elbow grease! Our team loved it and would consider staying here again if we go back next year.

The smell of the water was weird, and got worse over time. We used bottled water to brish our teeth, and I used it to wash my face. After a day or two it had started to stain the toilets, shower floor, and bath towels. However, we were so busy and tired after each day, I'd forget to let the owner know. I am not sure what could have been done about it, but it was late in our stay before I notified owner. However, there was definitely something wrong. I hope it can be easily corrected for future renters. One of our men slept on the couch. It would have been nice to have a second bedroom downstairs, but we were in abnormal circumstances trying to keep the ladies & men separate. We were grateful for the washer & dryer -- but there needs to be a sturdy step to be able to reach inside the washer, since it is a top loader and sits on an elevated platform. The dryer makes a lot of noise, but it works well.

The property did not seem very clean. There was evidence of non-thorough cleaning between guests. It did not appear that the floors had been vacuumed or mopped. There was a problem with the well water. It was pungent and discolored. It smelled like metal and rotten eggs. The water was not potable and it stained our clothing when we did laundry. We reached out to the owners who were extremely responsive and tried to address each of the issues. Unfortunately, there was no quick fix for the water issue. I know the owners are trying to rectify
