Casa Bandera~Downtown Bandera, TX.

We absolutely love visiting Bandera and make the trip several times a year, especially since we're friends with one of the local horse operations, Bandera Historical Rides. This is our second stay at this property within a month, and it’s quickly become a favorite. The spacious interior, full kitchen, full bathroom plus an extra WC, and the inviting porch all make it incredibly comfortable. One of the highlights for us is the sweet black "porch cat"; a friendly feline left behind by previous tenants before the home became an Airbnb (according to the neighbors). We’ve affectionately named her Cuddles. She doesn’t try to come inside, but she’s always happy to curl up next to you if you sit on the porch. We hope all future guests will show her the same kindness and care.

We had a wonderful stay overall with nothing major to note; just a small heads-up that there were quite a few old pantry items left behind in the cupboards, some of which had expired and attracted a few roaches. We took the liberty of discarding the dates and nuts to help keep things tidy.

We had a great stay at this spacious 2-bedroom house on 8th Street, just a short drive or medium-long walk to the 11th Street Cowboy Bar and downtown Bandera. We've been visiting Bandera twice a year for many years, usually staying at the River Cabins, but when they were fully booked, we were lucky to find this hidden gem. The house is older but very well maintained, clean, and much more spacious than expected, Perfect for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a convenient, cozy spot close to everything Bandera has to offer!

Everything in the house was clean, with just a very minor oversight (some leftover pieces of bacon in the oven). The outdoor gas grill appeared quite weathered and seemed not to have been cleaned in some time. We spent about an hour trying to clean it, as we were excited to do a barbecue, but eventually decided against using it. There was also no propane bottle available for the grill; perhaps including one could be a nice future enhancement for guests. Another idea that might add to the experience would be a small fire pit in the spacious backyard (when campfires are permitted). During past stays at the river cabins, we always enjoyed sitting by a fire in the evenings, and with such a large outdoor space here, it could be a wonderful and relatively simple addition. These are just small suggestions to make an already great stay even more memorable. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time and would be happy to stay there again.

Instructions on how to work the stove would be helpful. The stove door needs a minor repair.

Location was great. Very comfortable and clean. Older home but loved it. Would stay again. Large main bathroom. Loved the 2 separate sinks. Larger bedroom very comfortable. Very large bedroom with comfortable beds.

Could have been a little cleaner. Dirt on window sills but bed and carpet very clean. Needed a hairdryer

This house is perfect for a weekend getaway for a few guests. The 2 rooms are very large and one has a sitting area with a couch which works well for the unexpected extra. If you are on bikes, there is a covered area in the back that is perfect for keeping the dew off the seat overnight. We really loved staying here, beds were super comfy!

Location and eclectic decor. House was perfect and very homey. Loved it!
