Its only 15-20 minutes walk from the city center. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The corridor was filled up, as if it was used as a storage. The room was very cold, and took very long (1-2 days) to warm up. When it finally did it came out unbelievably amounts of insects from the floors and walls. Especially ants in the bathroom. The host was friendly and told they would fix it, but we left the next day.

Lock box was at the front door, it was easy to retrieve the key to access our room. Other tenants in building were pretty quiet, We liked that our little dog could stay with us. Clean kitchen and fridge. Pull out couch became a comfortable queen size bed. Very nice duvets and linens, pillows were fluffy. Room heating was easy to control.

Location

We arrived at 23:50, only to find out that the heating was set at 15 degrees. I understand austerity and such but we had the worst night ever for this price. The apartment didn't give a sense of cleanliness at all. The fire alarm buzzed every 30 seconds or so due to batteries out of juice. We are quite accommodating and understanding, but this was too much. Not recommended at all. For this price you can book two nights outside of Bergen, still well connected via public transport. We are regretting we didn't do that. Lesson learned.
