GBThe beds were comfortable. The house was tidy and had all the basic things you would need for a short stay.,
Thin curtains in one bedroom letting light in. Yard needs weeding and no garden chairs to sit outside. No dining table.

It was not in Saltburn-by-the-Sea... First night - had a neighbour threaten to take a sledgehammer to my car as I dared park 10-12 feet too far forward. It needs to be made very very clear that the residents obviously take parking exactly outside their own houses very seriously. There were no mirrors at the correct height anywhere in the property. The dustbins were full.

Got emailed the day before booking about a security/breakages deposit, was the option of either paying £35 or £150, as I hadn't allocated additional funds I opted for the £35 not acknowledging that it was non-refundable. Pretty disappointed to pay an additional £35 on top of the original cost. Especially as we stripped beds and cleaned all the areas
GBThe home was in a peaceful area with good street parking and friendly, welcoming neighbours. Homely, clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Incredibly comfortable beds and good TV. Excellent communication from the hosts throughout. Quick response to the issue we had with the hot water. Cannot complain and can't wait to return. Short drive to Saltburn (check out the "smugglers" if you get chance) with a gorgeous beach and the pier (and the church chip shop), local beach at skinningrove is almost deserted. Also close enough to drive to Whitby or into the moors. (Danby, Botton Village -google it, Hutton Le Hole and Ryedale Folk Museum). I've been told by a friend that the iron mining museum is worth a trip although we didn't go this time. Would also recommend Sunday Lunch at the Grosvenor Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay if that's on your route on a Sunday.
Nothing to complain about at all!!! Suggestions for improvement would be: More hooks - for hanging coats downstairs/towels or clothes upstairs etc. The room off the kitchen would be amazing with a small table and chairs for dining, and if that could also be moved into the outside area when the weather is good... An extra chair/folding chair or footstool, and a folding table/lap trays to use in the living room would also be a bonus (we were a group of 4 adults who like a bit of personal space when sitting, and also we ate in the house on the second night and didn't want to spill food on the sofa) And maybe an extra baking tray. Absolutely not complaining though, everything that is currently provided is good enough for a pleasant stay. Hope to return very soon.
