"Will definitely stay here again & recommend this place to friends."

10.0

The location was perfect for the purpose of our visit. The chalet was traditional which added to the authenticity of the place. Overall stay was very comfortable. Jesus was very attentive & helpful. And, great advice for letting me know about getting some groceries at San Juan del Sur. We only ate out once during our stay.

I love coffee, and a basic coffee maker would be great. I was excited to see the stove top espresso maker but it did not work, it was missing a part.

The house is really nice, spacious, charming, and has everything you need. We did not have electricity during the days because of some construction work in town but it worked again in the evenings. The location is quite isolated which is good and bad. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Tuesday which is the day where the only restaurant nearby (Rancho Tere) is closed which we did not know about. There were no options to eat which is why we advise to bring your own groceries because the local pulperias don’t offer much. We recommend to play pickleball in the area (it was 12$/hour) and walk to the Playa El Yankee (40 min walk) - so beautiful and abandoned! We had the place all for ourselves which also meant that we couldn’t really ask anybody for recommendations and the written communication was a bit confusing. Especially in regards to bring your own groceries which in the accommodation is essential. Last point, is that the description of the house is a bit off because there is 1 restaurant (“Rustic” does not exist anymore), 1 bar that is a bit further away and no stores which is totally fine we just find it important to know in advance. Moreover, there is a school next to the house so it is not very silent during the weekdays.

This is a nice little house on a property in the little village Escamequita. The host is super responsive. The house is nicely decorated. The shower has warm water. It's a perfect place for people who like to stay in quieter areas. The beach El Yankee is only 5 minutes away (by car) and Playa Hermosa 20 minutes. We stayed in middle of October so there was still some rain and you need a 4WD to get around. But that is normal. Two big supermarkets are accessible close to San Juan del Sur. Lots to explore.
