Location was great. Great views.

We were incredibly disappointed at the accommodation. My mother could only sleep in the downstairs bedroom as she did not want to risk the stairs during the night from the mezzanine area. This meant the only room my son could sleep in a cot was the mezzanine.The arrangement of the mezzanine area meant my wife slept there whilst I slept in one of the outdoor rooms. The mezzanine area itself had no privacy from people sitting in the living room. We were all living out of suitcases for a week due to the lack of storage. My brother also slept in the outdoor rooms where the door did not fully shut. Due to the amount of bugs such as cockroaches and incidents of bugs falling onto my brother we both felt too uncomfortable to continue sleeping in the outdoor rooms. I slept on the floor in the living room whilst my 33 year old brother shared the bed with my mother. The house was cluttered with owners belongings and parts of the house had unfinished decorating.It was very dusty,there were old coffee granules in the French press and felt it had not been cleaned very well. The garden was unkempt with very long grass and had litter in it.It was so long it was not possible for my toddler to play in it.There was no path to the furthest away outdoor room.Some of the steps going up to the house were unusable due to overgrown vegetation. The barbecue had old food from previous use on it. The outdoor seating was mouldy and dirty and some had bird poo on. The outdoor bath was full of leaves. The house lacked basic features such as a hairdryer. There was wet laundry hanging in the garden when we arrived. At $1200 a night for a family, I expected a lot more. This was a no thrills stay with parts that were completely unacceptable given the pricing.I shared my concerns (and pictures) with Bachcare who look after the property. They offered me the cleaning fee of $242 as a refund. This was also very disappointing and my interaction with Bachcare has been disheartening.
