"Highly recommend Jay’s Guest House for the place to stay when climbing Blue Mountain. The climb is amazing You arriv"

The location was perfect for climbing Blue Mountain. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great coffee and real Jamaican food. Interesting to be in a rural setting away from the tourist resorts.

Not much to do besides climbing the mountain.

"Perfect weekend stay in the mountains for a hike!"

10.0

Loved our stay with Jay's family. The location was great right in the mountains and the staff were the friendliest I have met in Jamaica. Cannot wait to go back again and stay there or Jay's II. The amazing food and hospitality were definitely the winners. Jay was super responsive and helped organise everything for us. Thank you thank you!!

"Superb"

9.0

It provides you the most comfortable room around the Blue Mountain region, with hot water and wonderful home cooking food. Ladies are very friendly and helpful. Feel like staying in a warm local home.

It's not cheap, especially for the transportation. But remember Blue Mountains region is still a wild and underdeveloped place. Either your body suffers or your wallet suffers. The bird guide was not professional and could only provide very limited information.

"Good place for a short sleep before the night hike to the summit ! Coffee available too for purchase"

Amazing views over the mountains. A bit far from the beginning of the peak trail so adjust your departure time accordingly. Lamoy was super helpful, he got me the entrance ticket the day before the hike and the breakfast was delicious ! Excellent wifi too.

Big thanks to Jay's Guest House up in the Blue Mountains! They were extremely helpful with anything we needed, whether it be food, information, transportation, etc. Donette was very kind and welcoming and made us feel at home. Her food was also delicious and servings were generous. They arranged a driver to pick us up at 2am and drive us up to the trailhead through treacherous terrain to begin our hike, and he was patiently waiting to pick us up for breakfast upon return. They also offer authentic blue mountain coffee that they grow themselves, and for an additional fee you can tour the coffee farm. I recommend their guesthouse to any adventurous travelers who visit the island. Big thanks!

"Friendly family run guest house in a peaceful location"

10.0

The Jackson family and everyone working at the guest house were really friendly and welcoming. It was such a treat to have lovely homecooked meals and Sandra took into account all our dietary needs. This is the perfect place to do the Blue Mountain Peak hike, which was stunning. The beds were super comfy!

It would have been good to have some more outside space to relax in that wasn't under cover.

"Nice place"

7.0

The location is beautiful, you can disconnect and feel closer to nature. It is also perfect for a hike to the Blue Mountain Peak. The wooden hut is basic, but you have all that you need. Most importantly, Jay's family and the staff are very warm and welcoming people.

I think that if I haven't seen Jay's II Guesthouse my view will be different, but knowing that for few extra USD you have very good facilities left me feeling that Jay's I is very overpriced. I like the rustic feeling, had only cold showers for over a month now, so I was absolutely fine with the facilities, yet it was by far the most expensive of all my accommodations on Jamaica, but with the most basic facilities.
