Damba 2 apartment

The apartment is renovated so it looks new. The bathroom is lovely and the size of bedroom/kitchen is just enough for you to have a good stay in Rijeka city. It was clean and it has enough storage for the clothes as well. The Wifi worked great and there were good options on TV programs as well as apps. The location is just a few minutes from the center of Rijeka so you can basically walk everywhere in the city center. I will say I loved the shades which provided complete darkness to sleep in.

The building is very old and at first looks a little creepy once you go in, but once you reach the apartment it's like a whole new world there. Completely renovated. It's also harder to find parking, since some are for Rijeka residents only, but there are some spots that you can park even without paying. The apartment is poorly isolated and because it is on one of the main streets I could hear every car that drove by in the night. It was harder to sleep. Thankfully I stayed there only one night.

Πεντακάθαρο ευρύχωρο δωμάτιο, σε πολύ βολική τοποθεσία πολύ κοντά στο κέντρο της πόλης και κοντά σε στάσεις λεωφορείων για διάφορα μέρη ενδιαφέροντος. Ο οικοδεσπότης επικοινωνιακός και φιλικός.

Το σπίτι είναι πάνω σε ένα δρόμο που έχει κυκλοφορία. Έτσι δεν μπορείς να κοιμηθείς με ανοιχτά παράθυρα. Τις μέρες που φιλοξενηθήκαμε έκανε αφόρητη ζέστη. Όμως το air condition είναι πολύ αθόρυβο και έτσι μπορείς να κοιμηθείς άνετα το βράδυ με κλειστά παράθυρα αλλά δροσερά και χωρίς να σε πιάνει πονοκέφαλος. Επίσης τα μαξιλάρια στο κρεβάτι, θα μπορούσε να είναι πιο ανατομικά και κάπως μεγαλύτερα. Ήταν μικρά για εμάς.

Almost everything...the apartment is spacious, well equipped and modern and with a nice bathroom with walk-in shower. The air con was extremely effective on one of the hottest days of the year. The laundry facilities including iron and ironing board and clothes horse were fantastic.

If you are driving to this apartment note that it is on a busy road and turning in to the courtyard (so that you can unload your bags) through the archway is a bit tricky. Don't park in the courtyard for more than a few minutes or you will get an angry note from the permanent residents of the block. Do park on the opposite side of the road on a wide pavement area up the hill. There are 7 spaces (free!) and cars come and go on a fairly regular basis. We needed to call the owner to ask his help on a couple of issues. He speaks excellent English but very fast and perhaps could be a bit more patient with listening skills especially with first time visitors to Croatia/Rijeka...he seemed impatient and rushed on the phone. However, in the end we cleared up a misunderstanding and he did provide us the help we needed.
