Kaktus bungalow 2

Room was very nice for good price. We had our own little bungalow with semi - outdoor washroom attached. We had breakfast (banana pancake) ok our porch. The hosts were friendly and gave great recommendations for dinner. The room is close to the beach and the highstreet.

• Mosquito net and a large bed with bedside lamps • Mini fridge • Wardrobe for clothes • The bathroom is spacious, and the shower area is built one step lower, so there is no flooding after showering • Everything was clean • The location is great—within walking distance of the harbor, and it’s less than a five-minute walk to the beach for sunrise or snorkeling • Air conditioning works well • Nice terrace where you can have breakfast or just relax • Free water for refilling your bottles is available • There is a good restaurant right across the street • Toy can join cooking classes or jewelry-making workshops right next door

• The WiFi is rather slow • I am a light sleeper and even with earplugs, I could still hear the mosque in the mornings. The first time, I was awake the whole time (it lasted about 20 minutes). On the following days I only woke up briefly though and was able to fall back asleep quickly. So you do get used to it after a while • The water pressure in the shower could be a bit stronger

First of all the staff and Bryce the owner were all thoughtful, attentive and humorous without being intrusive. Room and bathroom were good size and well appointed. Position of Kaktus, is almost in centre of island so easy walking distance for everywhere. Breakfast was good. Excellent restaurants close by. Expert jewellery making and cooking course available at Kaktus. Surprised how much we enjoyed our 15 night stay there.

A cosy place which feels like home. Very clean bungalow and lovely staff. Cooking and jewellery making classes are offered - great experience. Very close to the beach on East side and to harbour. Delicious restaurant just cross the street.

Everything was perfect

The staff are the highlight of this property, very kind, accomodating and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, bathroom too although it is outside. Breakfast very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. We didn’t partake because of being short of time but they also offer cooking classes and jewellery making here.

Not the fault of the owner at all, but would suggest earplugs for light sleepers due to roosters and the mosque in the early morning. We love Kaktus Bungalow!

Kaktus was the best place we stayed in our 2 months on Gili Air. The bungalows are spotless and spacious, the bed is really comfy and we loved the open air bathroom. We stayed for 3 weeks in total and it became like our home, we didn’t want to leave! Brice and his team are the most friendly and helpful people and they work hard to ensure their guests have a comfortable stay. They also run a jewellery class and cooking class on site - we had a fantastic time doing both. Breakfast is also delicious.
