MM'S Guest House Hikkaduwa

Very nice small guesthouse, close to everything-shops, restaurants, sea. Rooms in the ground floor don't have AC but we got one extra fan so it was ok. On the first floor is a small kitchen. Guesthouse has laundry service Owner is very kind and helpful.

Tout sans exception

Excellent clean, fresh, large room with comfy bed and good shower (actually had a shower curtain, which made a nice change!). Large communal area with a two-ring burner, fridge and kitchen equipment, which was really handy for making breakfast. Train was noisy when it passed by, but we got used to it, and they don't seem to run at night. Close to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. Host was very friendly and we wish her well in her new venture.

Perfect location (walking distance to the beach), great price, extremely clean room (which was so pleasant!) and beautiful little outside sitting area with lots of huge plants. Thank you Melissa and good luck, I hope that people will find you and you’ll have lots of guests !

I wish we stayed longer

When we arrived the property was clean and the host was very welcoming, she explained everything very clearly, and she expressed her hospitality throughout. The value for the quality of the room/en-suite was superbl. There is also a kitchen upstairs with a large social area which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall I highly recommend!10/10

Just going for the hottest season the fan wasn’t quite making the room cool enough, bar that no complaints.

Very comfortable, clean, spacious rooms in a good location. The host is highly helpful and pleasant. The entire place has a beautiful, calm atmosphere...and the use of a shared kitchen is quite convenient. Would highly recommend stayIng here.

Nothing to not like. All was great!

Lovely stay, right along the main road in Hikkadewa (but quiet enough that you feel tucked away). Walking distance to everything. Guest house is surrounded by a lovely, peaceful garden. Owner is very friendly and helpful. You are very close to the train line (as is everything in Hikkadewa) so it can be loud with the train, but it didn’t bother us, most places would be the same.

The room got a bit hot, there is a fan in the room (and other rooms with are aircon options). Not so much fault of the guesthouse, Hikkadewa is just extremely hot and humid! Otherwise no complaints :)
