Limited parking, it was touch and go some nights if we would be able to find a parking spot.

Enjoyed the independence of an apartment rather than a hotel, and it was a superb apartment. It seemed quite new, it was clean, spacious, and the owners had provided everything you could possibly need, from a huge range of cooking pots/utensils to snorkelling equipment and beach towels, even the washing powder and tumble drier sheets were all provided - it really is a home from home. Based in Grace Bay, it was pretty easy to get anywhere by car and there were always plenty of parking spaces (although we did travel slightly out of season). Also, the owners were friendly and very quick to respond if you had any queries and they recommended a few good eating places.

The apartment is about a 10 minute drive from the centre. Not really a problem for us as we hired a car, which you really have to do if you're going to explore the island - the only other form of transport is a taxi. However, if you're not a driver or just want everything within walking distance, this probably isn't for you. There were a couple of places to eat within walking distance, including Baci, which is well worth a visit. Also, if you're looking for a fab secluded beach, being out of the centre is a plus.
