Unfortunately, I was unable to stay to give my unconditional opinion. My Moroccan partner and I were prevented from staying at the accommodation because we didn't have marriage documentation, which is not the case. We had to leave to find another place after 8pm, tired and with luggage after a long trip, even though we had paid in full for the two-day stay well in advance. The price was non-refundable, as we had no intention of not staying there. Up to that point, everything was great and we were well received. However, when they asked for our documents and found out he was Moroccan, we were informed that we could not stay. There was no restriction mentioned anywhere. The Article 490 of the Penal Code and the old hotel restrictions were never applied in practice to non-Muslim foreign tourists. Couples from abroad have always been able to stay in the same room without question, especially in large hotel chains or tourist cities. If one of the partners is Moroccan: Although the document requirement has officially been dropped due to guidelines from the Ministry of Justice, the penal law against sex outside of marriage (Article 490) remains in force in the country. Because of this, some smaller, traditional, or more conservative hotels in non-touristy areas may still show resistance or try to apply their own rules for fear of local laws. End of requirement (May 2024): The Moroccan Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, publicly declared in Parliament that the requirement for a marriage certificate by hotels was illegal and an invasion of privacy, as there was no direct legal basis for such a requirement. Police Instructions: Shortly after this ministerial declaration, local authorities and the police formally notified hotels that they should no longer require marriage contracts to allow couples to stay. We tried to get another room but were told the room was full.

The riad was beautiful, and I spent hours choosing a location and a room that I liked before the trip.

Me and my partner stayed for four nights, the hosts were honestly the most helpful and amazing people. We thought the property was very peaceful and beautiful. In terms of location it was a little outside of the central area, approximately 25 minutes walk to the sukes

A perfect riad with great hosts , who couldn’t do enough for its clients , a great location in the medina for a slower pace of life in Marrakesh, it was so relaxed on an evening after my excursions I just chilled with a book by the pool or on the beautiful terrace drinking mint tea ,

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans ce riad à Marrakech. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été accueillis avec une grande gentillesse et un professionnalisme remarquable. Un immense merci à Hicham, qui a été d’une disponibilité et d’une attention rares tout au long de notre séjour. Toujours souriant, à l’écoute et prêt à rendre service, il a largement contribué à rendre notre expérience inoubliable. Le reste du staff était également incroyable : accueillant, chaleureux, bienveillant et toujours soucieux de notre confort. On se sent ici comme à la maison, dans une ambiance authentique et conviviale. Le riad est magnifique, très propre et parfaitement situé pour découvrir Marrakech. Nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs et reviendrons sans hésiter. Merci à toute l’équipe pour cette belle expérience ! 🙏🌟🏡

Clean & comfy, very helpful kind staff. Nicely decorated bedroom in typical Riad style. Really convenient from a safe 24hr carpark, 3 min walk away, for 3euro a day! Very close to all the medina stalls & shops, restaurants etc. It’s a little haven in the mayhem of Marrakech.

Really hard to find… had to tip a small child to show us the way! (Maybe we were just stupid)

the staff are so incredibly kind and accomodating, the riad itself if probably the nicest accomodation i have ever stayed in, so gorgeous, clean everything it’s perfect

Absolutely beautiful place, great staff and gorgeous rooms plus the cutest cats ever!!

Location is a little bit far however I still felt safe even as a solo female traveller, I do not feel as though the area is "dodgy"
