La casa di Clelia

Lovely home and the most gracious hosts. Your host, Franca, will meet you to show you the home and hand off the keys. She will probably also have a beer ready, maybe if you're lucky, homemade coffee grappa - which is amazing - and homemade jam. The house is cozy, kitchen and master bedrooms large for the area. The outside garden was nice for a coffee in the morning, and across the street is a rather famous local bakery with the best pizza I have ever had. Try the potato & sausage! Cercola train station is 5 minute walk and easy to get to Naples, Pompeii or Vesuvius. Cercola has quite a few shops & restaurants in walking distance as well. So park your car and get out in the neighborhood.

If you're like us and basically monolingual, bring your own roku or apple TV to connect to the living room TV. Not something we thought about, but also weren't really planning on a lot of TV time anyway.

Franca was a wonderful host and La Casa di Clelia was really cosy both inside and in the yard. There was even a small bakery just across the street. Franca and her husband waited us til late in the night since our flight got delayed and still gave us a warm welcome.

very friendly owner. She gave wine, grappa for us free of charge.
