USWe got stuck in Bac Quang on our way to Ha Giang due to a major landslide on the road and needed a place to stay. Didn't really know what to expect from this place, but it worked out great. The rooms are pretty basic, but they are very new and very clean and the host was SOOOO nice and helpful to us given our situation. He even arranged a driver to drive us all the way back to Hanoi at a very reasonable price.
The beds are VERY firm. They are nice, new mattresses, but if you are used to western-style plush mattresses, these will not be for you.

CHWe stayed for one while hitchhiking from Ha Giang to Sapa. That place is very well located, the stuff is nice and the room is very clean and has everything you need. The bed is veery hard though.

Hard beds. Little hot water capacity. Mosquitos in the room and heater does not work.

The bed felt very cheap, hard and uncomfortable. Also, I had to ask for toilet paper, which wasn't present yet. There wasn't a trash can in the room either.
