Its location was superb and the garden is an obvious asset. Breakfast was very good.

"Discovering Fontanellato"

This is a lovely property with a large garden attached - full of flowers at this season. And yet it is smack in the middle of town, opposite the castle and the oldest houses and squares. A perfect overnight stop for anyone crossing Italy as we were, from Rome to Switzerland.

The restaurant will soon open, but there is the very good Trattoria del Teatro jut five minutes walk away.
