La Domus di Marta

Excellent location just outside of the walls for easily accessing historic Volterra in minutes by foot yet outside enough to offer a little more space, sunlight, greenery, and tranquility. Also, provides a large terrace for enjoying breakfast and sunsets outdoors. Marta is an excellent host and does everything possible to ensure an enjoyable, comfortable stay.

The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. A big terrace to relax when the weather is good. The location is very good, only 5 minutes walk to one of the gate to Volterra. We were able to temporary park our car in front of the gate to unload our luggage and then park our car at a nearby parking lot. The parking is less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment and is cost €12 per day. The host Marta is very kind and helpful. She gave us a bottle of wine and bottle waters to welcome us. She also gave us a gift when we check out. She also provided a folder with instruction how to use the washing machine, coffee maker and other appliances. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting Volterra.

I would suggest adding a full length mirror and more clothes hangers.

Marta’s apartment is really thoughtfully decorated, in an excellent position near the town. Marta was a fabulous host.

The apartment was so comfortable and clean and in such a great location. Fabulous views too. Really close to the centre of Volterra. Marta was the perfect host. She was super helpful and kind. We were left a gift when we arrived and everything was perfect.

Just outside the walls, well equipped appartment with two quiet bedrooms at the back. Great to have a terrace to come back to for a rest. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommended and we'd come back if we're in the neighbourhood again.
