Tarry Here Mansion Bed & Breakfast

The furniture downstairs was comfortable but needs a really good cleaning! The bedroom was clean and comfy.

Beautiful downtown location. Neat mansion...beautiful wood....comfortable beds...and a scrumptious breakfast!!!...had a really nice chat with Cheryl the owner. Highly recommended!!

Maybe out a sign out front...so you know you have the right place.

It was a very beautiful house with a very friendly owner and was located right down the street from the Seneca Casino

There wasn't anything I really "didn't like" though I might suggest putting tvs in the bedrooms.

The breakfast was decent.

There was no sign out front to indicate this was a B&B. There was cat vomit on the front porch floor that EVERYONE had to walk past upon arrival. I brought it to the staff's attention who did absolutely nothing about it because I walked past it 3 more times during my stay. When I called the contact # on the website, it was NOT answered by a "Tarry Here B&B", but a very slow to respond, Hello? I had to ASK if I was talking to someone that worked for the B&B. I asked for assistance for shuttle service to the casino (as advertised on the website) and was told to call the casino...not an offer to contact the casino on my behalf, nothing. The grounds were horrible, not maintained AT ALL. My bed was decent, but there was dust in very visible locations. Anthony Melchiorri of Hotel Impossible would have a field day with this place!! I would have stayed elsewhere if there was somewhere else to stay, but it was Fallfest weekend in nearby Ellicottville and everything was booked. Decent customer service, a welcoming outside appearance and not a run-down haunted mansion aesthetic, are simple things to do, but the owners and staff just don't care and it clearly shows.

Owner texted me four days after booking confirmation, and one day before our trip departure, to inform me that they were canceling our reservation because they "had a different guest call to reserve the room prior to your booking." It took them four whole days to tell me this? Thanks for nothing. Owners will not answer phone or return a phone call. Booking.com was not even able to contact them. Callers are greeted with a generic voicemail. This is one of the most unprofessionally run establishments I've ever encountered. I booked a much nicer place in the area but drove by the property to get a first hand look. The landscaping is unkempt and in serious need of attention. The sign is also missing from the front yard. Glad I didn't stay. This is have a way of working themselves out.
