Aegean Serenity - Sea View Retreat

Die Lage ist mega, toller Blick auf das Meer und die umliegende Landschaft, sehr ruhig gelegen und gleichzeitig mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten im quirlen Ort Archangelos mit Cafés, Restaurants und Supermärkten - auch im März, wenn keine Saison ist und ansonsten noch viel zu hat auf Rhodos. First and foremost, there is no host like Antonia! She is the absolute best and will do everything she can to make sure you have the best stay ever. She wrote us recommendations, checked in on us, and even brought us her router from her own house when we were having some internet problems. We came in December, so the island had almost no tourists at all and was super quiet- just how we like it! (Note for others- many shops and restaurants are closed in the winter. We still found great places to visit.) The accommodation is super private anyway- the only views you have are of Antonia's beautiful fruit trees, mountains, the sea, and a bunch of cute goats climbing (and a few friendly cats). It is completely quiet and super super peaceful. You don't hear other people or cars. There are maybe 4 other accommodations nearby but they were empty when we were there, so we really felt like we had the whole hill to ourselves! There's nothing like waking up to that gorgeous mountain-ocean view, picking yourself some tangerines, and just hanging out on the patio. Getting to sit in the hot tub facing the view was also divine. The kitchen is also super well-equipped and comfortable to actually cook in. I'm talking grater, straws, teas, olive oil, cooking utensils. You can tell Antonia put a lot of thought into the design of the place. There was even a heated blanket on the mattress to keep us cozy. Can't recommend this place enough, and I can't wait to come back again when it's a bit warmer!

Not a downside at all, but just something to note for wintertime: the only table and chairs are outside on the beautiful patio and out in the garden. This means that in the winter you either have to bundle up and eat outside or have a bed picnic. We were fine with that, but it's good to keep in mind if you will need to sit and work somewhere.

Alles war einfach traumhaft, der Blick, die Lage, die kleinen Kätzchen die uns jeden Tag besucht haben und auch der Whirlpool

Wir haben uns dort im Haus, wie im Paradies gefühlt! Oder wie Robinson Crusoe! Die Aussieht ist einfach absolut magisch! Links und rechts sind hohe Felsen und man guckt direkt auf‘s Meer! Das Haus ist klein, aber wunderschön eingerichtet. Und der Garten ist wirklich sensationell. Dort wachsen Zitronen, Limetten, Oliven, Granatäpfel, Kaktusfeigen. Man braucht dort unbedingt ein Auto, weil das Haus schon sehr abgelegen liegt. Wer Ruhe, Einsamkeit und Natur liebt, der ist dort genau richtig! Die Besitzerin von Haus ist sehr sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit! Ein Traum!

Het uitzicht, de rust , de privacy. Zeer cosy plekje, a hidden gem.

Je moet toch wel over heel goede parkeerskills beschikken om vlakbij de accommodatie, op de voorziene parkeerplaats te parkeren. Maar je kon de wagen vlot kwijt bovenaan de heuvel op 5 minuten stappen. Dus eigenlijk ook geen minpunt.

There is nothing bad to say about this fantastic house. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. No noise at night. A car is necessary to get there comfortably.
