Rooms at the Bush

The location was ideal as I was running a marathon in the area. The staff and owners were very attentive…even running me to the starting point in the morning.

Very welcoming, very friendly. Willing to offer any help. Comfortable room. Good food both in the evening and breakfast. I would happily stay there again or recommend to others.

Minor problem was the address of the property on Booking.com. Wigton or Kirkbride?

Food in the bar was excellent and convenient as there are very few eating establishments nearby. Good location for walking in the area.

Budget room was expensive for what it was - no window and very small but to be fair we did know that before we arrived. The breakfast which was £15 extra was a greasy meat fry up with no alternative offered. Probably best avoided unless you like that sort of thing.

Booked here after finishing Hadrians walk as there was no accommodation closer and turned out to be an absolute gem. Owner is absolutely delightful and offers a pick up/drop off service for those doing the wall walk. Cut pub. Had a hearty home cooked style pub meal, very generous portion. Comfy and quiet. Offers full English breakfast in the morning if you want too.
