Almarea B&B Trani

Very nice B&B. The location is excellent, right in the city center, so it was easy to get around on foot. The design of the place is also very stylish. The hosts were helpful, and the welcome book provided contained lots of useful information and tips on places to visit. The room was very clean, and the fridge was very quiet. There was plenty of space to hang clothes. There are also mosquito nets on the windows. The air conditioning was powerful, and the Internet connection was very fast. Highly recommended.

Nothing. We enjoyed everything about our stay. We saw a lot of reviews about the stairs, but we personally didn't think they were bad at all.

I can't rate this B&B enough. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. To start with, the decor is very stylish and relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hosts thought of everything. There was soap, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletry items in the bathroom. We even found cold bottles of water in the fridge on our arrival. Everything was perfectly clean, the room was spacious. There is air conditioning which worked really well. We really appreciated the complimentary tea and coffee facilities. The self-check-in was really easy and handy as we could check-in without having to hang around waiting for someone to come let us in. Niki was very helpful, she responded to all of our messages quickly and gave some great tips on places to visit in the surrounding area. We will definitely be back.

The building is in the historic center of Trani, so it doesn't have a lift. There are a couple of flights of stairs, but I have to say compared to others I've seen in old Italian buildings, they are not that bad.

The room was spotless, very nicely decorated with really comfortable beds, large bathroom and shower and had everything you need for a few nights away. It had a lovely communal area to make drinks, etc. It was in a brilliant location close to the cathedral and castle and about 15 min walk from the train station. Communication from the hosts was brilliant, with help and advice both before our trip and also going out of their way during our trip to help us and recommend places to visit. It was very reasonably priced for the location and facilities.

A well-considered room design and a very comfortable bed, but no view and little natural light. A good location for us between the Cathedral and Railway Station.

The fact that this is a self-check in rented room at the top of 40+ stairs and with NO breakfast facility at the property was not provided at the time we placed our booking. If this information had been available we would not have booked it as we prefer the warmth of traditional Italian hospitality. We experienced an inhospitable arrival despite the agreed time, plus several small issues relating to the accommodation with no-one there to help. We note that the information on the site has since been amended but still the breakfast arrangement at a local bar has not been described.
