B&B at whitbourne

A warm comfortable room and bathroom/toilet facilities excellent. Plentiful and varied breakfast food and breakfast drinks. Quiet and pleasant rural location off the main road providing a timely break in our trip from Stratford to Mystery Creek to Matamata. On site parking. Short drive to Otorohanga for evening meal. Met by hosts as we arrived. This was our second time at Whitbourne and we will be returning again.

Clean, homely, great breakfast, warm and welcoming

It was close to the caves and clean.

It is far away from restaurants or shops. Despite its remoteness we could hear the road noises from the highway. Breakfast was pretty bad. Some bread and cereal were set up in the room. They were pretty thoughtless and were not replenished for the second day. Coffee was instant. Not sure how the concept of “bed and BREAKFAST” got lost. Small but important conveniences like hooks to hang our coats and trash can in bathroom were missing. Our room had a closet but it was filled with the owners stuff.

Exceptionally clean, beautiful bathroom, generous breakfast, easy to locate from instructions and friendly helpful hosts. Superb quiet location. Would definitely recommend!

+ wunderbares B&B, für bis zu vier Personen + sehr nette, freundliche und hilfsbereite Eigentümer + sehr sauber, gepflegt und mit liebevollen Details eingerichtet + geräumiges, sehr sauberes Badezimmer + tolles kontinentales Frühstück tgl. im Kühlschrank, frisches Obst im Zimmer + große gemütliche Terrasse mit phantastischem Ausblick + stabiles WLAN + zusätzliche Küchenutensilien auf Nachfrage + (eigentlich 10 Punkte plus Zusatzpunkt)

The place was lovely. The location was great for our needs, a few minutes drive from town and in a really scenic area. We were welcomed warmly and the room was comfy and clean. It had character. The breakfast provisions were generous and appreciated 😊

Not really something I didn't like but something I may have misunderstood from the website. It stated a private bathroom but in the guest wing there were 2 guest rooms and 1 bathroom, so it may be necessary to share. We actually had it to ourselves and it wouldn't stop us staying in that lovely place again, but it might bother some people.
