La Casa del Gallo

Die Gastgeber sind extrem freundlich. Wir wurden sehr, sehr nett begrüßt. Als wir ankamen, war gerade Markt, doch unser Gastgeber hat uns mit dem Auto bis zur Wohnung durchgelotst, damit wir unser Gepäck reinbringen konnten. Er hat uns zusätzlich eine sehr gute Parkmöglichkeit angeboten und war äußerst hilfsbereit. Er hat uns ein sehr gutes Lokal empfohlen. Die Wohnung ist liebe- und kunstvoll eingerichtet und liegt ganz zentral in der Altstadt. Es ist alles da, was man braucht oder brauchen könnte. Wirklich sehr angenehm und absolut zu empfehlen.

Appartement à la décoration rustique, spacieux, bien équipé et très bien situé (au cœur de la ville, tout est accessible à pied). Accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire qui habite dans le même bâtiment.

Fantastic apartment in a great quiet location with a beautiful outdoor courtyard. Wonderful welcoming host who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had what we needed for our trip. Highly recommend booking here!

We stayed in this charming apartment right in the centre of the old town of San Daniele del Friuli for 4 nights. A few minutes walk and you can find a deli, fruit shop, patisserie, gelateria,and many boutique shops, restaurants, bars, and of course, many historical places. The weather was intermittently wet so we enjoyed being able to duck in and out between showers to enjoy the city. Our host Georgio, was keen to see that we had everything we needed and checked in with us most days by text. The furniture is comfortable and linens are in good condition. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering and we enjoyed the thoughtful offerings of chocolates, home-made biscuits, Prosecco and some basic condiments. Umbrellas for the rainy days are also available. The apartment occupies the middle of 3 stories so you have a flight of stairs to climb but they are spaced well and wide enough to carry your luggage. The parking is not on site. We did have access to Georgio’s secure parking space which is a short walk away but were mostly able to find a free public parking space just around the corner. We were able to park temporarily in front of the apartment to unload our bags which was great. We only used our car to explore the surrounding towns and countryside, which are interesting and beautiful: we did not need it in town except to go to the laundromat and larger supermarket.

The washing machine and dryer were not available, however Georgio was able to recommend a very good self-service laundromat a short distance away and, as we had a car, this was not a big issue
